The scope of the this research work was to perform output calibration and output factor measurements for the small and non-standard  fields of the CyberKnife system.

The project was seperated in two actions. In the first action the output of the 60mm field was measured using alanine dosimeters provided by the NPL primary standard laboratory and a series of ion chambers (PTW 30013 Farmer chamber, PTW 31013 and 31010 Semiflex chambers, Scdx CC13 chamber and PTW 31014 PinPoint microchamber). In the second action output factors (OFs) for the 5 mm, 7.5 mm, 10 mm, 12.5 mm and 15 mm small fields were measured using a large series of detectors appropriate for small field dosimetry 

Results were used to experimentally determine the Kqmsr and Kqclin correction factors for the small fields of the CyberKnife system.
